Job Description

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in our inpatient rehabilitation unit, you will work closely with patients recovering from various conditions, including neuro, ortho, cardiac issues, and falls. Your role is vital in assisting occupational therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitative care to adult patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists.
  • Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living.
  • Document patient progress and adapt interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain clinical equipment and ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Valid COTA license
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred
  • Knowledge of GG scoring and point-of-care documentation metrics
