Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 17-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in improving functional abilities, enhancing independence, and achieving rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the therapy process.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred.
