Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 17-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in improving functional abilities, enhancing independence, and achieving rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic exercises.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote patient safety and quality care throughout the therapy process.
Requirements
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current BLS certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred.
