    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (8:00–16:30) | Every 4th Weekend | Expected 40 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide occupational therapy services across general acute care settings including medical, surgical, orthopedics, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care units
    • Deliver therapy services within an Acute Rehabilitation setting, where average patient length of stay is approximately two weeks
    • Work with a high percentage of stroke patients within the acute rehab setting
    • Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations
    • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Minnesota COTA license — must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
    • Acute Care experience required
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Must commit to completing Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing the contract, completed in person in Minnesota — this is a state requirement with no exceptions
    • Travelers must live at least 25 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with stroke and neurological patient populations
    • Prior travel therapy experience
    • Familiarity with acute rehabilitation settings and shorter-stay patient programs
