Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with the supervising OT's plan of care
- Accurately and timely document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Assist with patient and family education related to therapy goals and functional independence
- Communicate patient status updates and changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance protocols
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active state COTA license or ability to obtain prior to start
- Ability to provide occupational therapy services in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation systems
