Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy interventions in accordance with the supervising OT's plan of care
- Accurately and timely document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Assist with patient and family education related to therapy goals and functional independence
- Communicate patient status updates and changes to the supervising occupational therapist
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols in accordance with state and federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active state COTA license or demonstrated ability to obtain licensure
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in compliance with facility guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
