    Key Responsibilities
    • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate plans of care in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice standards
    • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
    • Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting all required information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory and clinical requirements
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans; participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
    • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
    • Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and accurately record treatment minutes per all regulatory and clinical requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • 1+ years of OTA experience required
    • Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation experience required
    • Active Massachusetts OTA license required
    • New graduates may be considered provided they have completed a Level II fieldwork experience (Level I observation experience alone does not qualify)
    • Adherence to NBCOT and Massachusetts state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
    • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems in a clinical setting
    • Experience supervising rehabilitation aides or students
