Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct patient care and therapeutic interventions to support functional recovery and independence
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective patient outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active COTA licensure in the state of Michigan
• NBCOT certification (COTA) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to fulfill expected 35 hours per week throughout the duration of the contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team environment
