Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatment services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' functional independence and quality of life
- Document patient progress, treatment notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate resident care and goal planning
- Educate residents and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Active COTA licensure in the state of New Jersey
- Current NBCOT certification in good standing
- Previous clinical experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Ability to fulfill a 14-week contract commitment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
