Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assistant services on a 20-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Deliver treatment for patients presenting with common diagnoses including stroke and orthopedic conditions, primarily within a geriatric population
• Maintain a patient caseload at an approximate 5:1 patient-to-therapist ratio
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EHR
• Participate in weekend coverage as needed, with an expected frequency of approximately one weekend shift per month
• Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach when working within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a COTA
• Experience working with an adult patient population
• Must meet facility and state licensure requirements for practice in Indiana

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation treatment approaches
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
