Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care to support functional independence in daily living activities
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and goals
- Adhere to all applicable professional, ethical, and compliance standards throughout the course of care
Required Qualifications
- Current COTA certification through NBCOT
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of New Jersey
- Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans under OT supervision
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a similar clinical or rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
