Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Provide direct patient care in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and outcomes
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients throughout the course of treatment
Required Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license or eligibility to practice in New Mexico
NBCOT certification (COTA) required or in process
Ability to work a Monday through Friday daytime schedule with no weekend rotation
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
Familiarity with a variety of occupational therapy modalities and treatment approaches
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
