    Key Responsibilities
    • Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination.
    • Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, utilizing adaptive techniques as appropriate.
    • Instruct patients and their families on the proper use of adaptive equipment, including reachers, mobility aids, and modified utensils.
    • Record detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns, reporting findings to the supervising OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
    • Provide emotional encouragement to patients and train caregivers on how to assist with home programs.
    • Prepare treatment areas, maintain equipment cleanliness, and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and billing as needed.
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 2 years of OTA experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.
    • Active Texas OTA license or a compact license recognized in Texas.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) responsibilities.
