In this role, you will work alongside a collaborative therapy team to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care and help patients regain independence in their daily activities. Key Responsibilities • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve functional performance and independence • Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and goal attainment accurately in the electronic medical record • Educate patients and family members on adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to coordinate and adjust patient care plans • Monitor and report changes in patient condition or functional status to the supervising Occupational Therapist • Assist with discharge planning by recommending home exercise programs and community resources ✅ Requirements • Active HI COTA license • BLS/BCLS, State of Hawaii COTA license certifications • 2+ years of Rehabilitation Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) experience • Associate degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program • Current NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Pay Pay range: $1,944 to $2,018 per week. Travel Rehab COTA package: up to $2,018/week (36 hours) = $32/hour taxable + up to $866/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules. Local package: $54/hour fully taxable ($1,944/week for 36 hours). Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
