We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and functional performance
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in developing skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
Requirements- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Previous clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist
