Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help patients develop and maintain the skills needed to perform daily activities, improve functional independence, and achieve their individualized therapy goals.

Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional skills.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other functional tasks.
  • Teach patients appropriate adaptive techniques and use of assistive equipment.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment and communicate observations to the supervising OT.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety techniques, and strategies to promote independence.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the OT and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment.
  • Modify activities as appropriate based on patient needs and within the established plan of care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Active COTA license in the applicable state.
  • Previous COTA experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to document accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while following the direction of the supervising OT.
