Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a 14-week assignment in Alameda, California. The ideal candidate will assist Occupational Therapists in providing treatment plans that help patients improve daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Help patients improve mobility, coordination, strength, and daily living skills.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient goals.
- Ensure a safe and positive therapeutic environment for patients.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute care settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
