Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy treatments to patients in an acute care hospital setting across a variety of diagnosis groups
  • Manage a daily caseload of approximately 9-13 assigned patients, prioritizing based on clinical need
  • Utilize general acute care DME and document patient care using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Work independently with a high degree of accountability and autonomy in care planning
  • Communicate effectively with therapy staff, nurses, physicians, and other care team members to meet patient and community needs
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of acute care hospital occupational therapy experience
  • Active Kansas (KS) COTA licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and strong accountability
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and flexibility skills suited to an acute care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Trauma experience in an acute care setting
  • Comprehensive stroke experience
