We are seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support occupational therapy services in a rehabilitation setting in Butte, Montana. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping patients improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through individualized therapeutic interventions.
The COTA will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients with daily living activities, monitor progress, and promote safe participation in therapeutic activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
Support patients in developing and improving daily living skills and functional independence.
Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.
Assist with mobility, coordination, balance, and activities of daily living as appropriate.
Monitor patient responses to interventions and report progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies for daily activities.
Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
Follow established patient safety procedures and infection-control standards.
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals.
Encourage patient participation and promote a safe, supportive rehabilitation environment.
