We are seeking an experienced Skilled Nursing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a snf in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to geriatric patients in a skilled nursing setting. Key Responsibilities
• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) training including dressing, grooming, bathing, and feeding
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, strength, and functional mobility
• Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and goals accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate residents and family members on adaptive techniques and assistive devices to promote independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including nursing, physical therapy, and speech therapy
• Monitor and report changes in patient status or functional performance to the supervising Occupational Therapist
✅ Requirements
• Active AZ COTA license
• BLS, FCC certifications
• 2+ years of Skilled Nursing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) experience
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with current NBCOT COTA certification
• Strong knowledge of ADL retraining, restorative care principles, and geriatric rehabilitation techniques
Pay
Pay range: $1,280 to $1,327 per week.
Travel Geriatrics/SNF COTA package: up to $1,327/week (32 hours) = $26/hour taxable + up to $495/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $40/hour fully taxable ($1,280/week for 32 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
