CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (COTA) | CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a contract opportunity in a rehabilitation setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that help patients improve functional abilities, independence, and overall quality of life.

SHIFT DETAILS

GUARANTEED HOURS & PAY
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
  • Pay Rate: $39.00 - $45.50 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License/Certification in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, acute care, or home health settings preferred
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and positive clinical outcomes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and cognitive function
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and therapeutic techniques
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the Occupational Therapist
  • Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
  • Ensure patient safety during all therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals and maximum independence

  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Competitive pay rate of $39.00 - $45.50 per hour
