Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Night shift CCU position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and multiple certifications.

Details

  • CCU (Critical Care Unit) setting
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:00)
  • Requires Labor Day and weekend rotation coverage
  • Floating not required
  • Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN state or compact) required in hand prior to start
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required
  • CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU experience required
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
  • Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids
  • Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care preferred
  • Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, renal failure management, and dialysis preferred
  • Experience managing vasoactive and sedation drips preferred
  • Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to CCU patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
  • Support patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and complex medication protocols
  • Experience with community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
  • Candidates must call out at least one week in advance for RTO requests
  • Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
  • Pending state licenses not accepted
  • First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
