Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team for a full-time position in a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment. The role requires a strong background in cardiac and vascular procedures, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

Shift Information

• Shift Type: Days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: Rotate for inpatient and emergent cases
• Weekend Call: 1 weekend per month from Friday evening through Monday morning

Unit Information

The Cath Lab is equipped with:

• 5 suites, including:
  • 2 primarily dedicated to coronary cases
  • 1 for peripheral cases
  • 1 for vascular and neuro cases
  • 1 for electrophysiology (EP) cases
• A varied case load, averaging between 10 to 22 cases per day

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Technologist will work closely with a team, including a registered nurse managing conscious sedation. Responsibilities include:

• Collaboration with a minimum of two techs per case (one scrubbing and one monitoring hemodynamics)
• Assisting in procedural processes, including airway management and cardiac drips
• Potentially supporting cases with a lead tech or additional personnel as needed

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current cath lab experience
• Required Certifications:
  • ARRT
  • BLS Certification
  • Fluoroscopy
• Comfortable with moderate sedation, procedural practices, and various cardiac drips, including Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors

First time travelers are welcome to apply. The unit is flexible and willing to accommodate alternate scheduling, including options for 10 or 12-hour shifts, and potential block scheduling from Friday to Sunday.
