Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a high-acuity interventional cardiac unit requiring 3+ years of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Details

  • Cath Lab setting within a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Fast-paced, high-acuity unit performing 24-40 cases per day
  • Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Procedures include diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab cases, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, and Impella
  • Peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases including fistulograms
  • ECMO experience preferred
  • Hybrid experience with AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchman preferred but not required
  • Uses Epic EMR, Alaris, Pyxis, GE C-arms, GE Pruka (Maclab) hemodynamic system, Fuji and ProSolv PACS, and Maquet IABP
  • Additional equipment used includes Volcano, St. Jude, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, and Anari (experience not required)
  • Day/Mids rotation with occasional weekend shifts on an 8h/12h combo schedule (options include 0600-1430, 1100-1930, 1200-2030, or 0600-1830)
  • 40 hours per week
  • No floating required
  • On-call required as needed, typically a 7-day Friday-to-Friday rotation every 2-3 months with 30-minute response time
  • On-call shifts run from end of scheduled shift until 0600 the next morning

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required
  • ARRT(R) certification and WI license required (RCIS preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and panning required
  • Experience with Cath Lab and peripheral procedures listed above required
  • Hybrid procedure experience preferred but not required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
  • Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

  • Facility adheres to a fatigue policy limiting staff to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
  • Scrubs provided
  • Free parking available
  • First-time travelers not considered for this position
  • No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignment
