Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years experience in cardiac catheterization and X-ray experience for an acute care Cath Lab & IR unit.

Details

• Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology unit with 4 rooms
• Handles 15-20 cases per day as a STEMI receiving center
• Uses Siemens/Philips equipment, Cerner charting system, laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, and angiojet
• Shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including days and every other weekend
• On-call requirement of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with call crew remaining until cases are completed and receiving the following day off
• No floating required
• Charge nurse present during the day with a circulating nurse serving in that role after hours
• Cardiologists and respiratory therapists on standby or working 24/7, with pharmacy in-house 24/7

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience with X-ray experience required
• Active BLS, CRT, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy certifications required (RCIS not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Cerner charting experience required
• Experience with peripheral and coronary circ procedures required
• Comfortable working with critically ill patients
• Merge experience is a plus but not required

Additional Information

• 1-2 days of unit orientation provided
• Scrubs provided
• Respiratory therapists are present in the room for ventilator cases
• All MyJourney training modules must be completed prior to arrival with no exceptions
