Cath Lab Technologist

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This role involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including angiography and other catheter-based interventions.
Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
Monitor patient's vital signs and report any abnormalities during procedures.
Assist physicians during interventional procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
Handle and care for equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and cleanliness.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and outcomes.

On-Call Requirements

The technologist will have on-call duties every third weekend and will be required to respond to the worksite within 30 minutes of callback notification. When on-call, the technologist will stay on-site.

Qualifications

Current Licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Shift Details

This position requires working daytime shifts, five days a week, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
