Shift Details

This position requires a Day 4x10-hour schedule from 07:00 to 17:00, with no block schedules.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting
Completed at least 1 travel assignment

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Cath Lab Certifications (either CCI RCIS or ARRT R)

Key Responsibilities

Manage procedural responsibilities, including accurate monitoring and room circulation
Maintain a sterile field while scrubbing for procedures
Perform various cardiac catheterization lab procedures, such as:
- Cardiac Stent Placement
- Impella Insertion
- Left Heart Catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Right Heart Catheterization
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Watchman Procedures

Work Environment

The Cath Lab Tech will work in an Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, performing tasks such as right and left heart catheterizations, stent placements, and other advanced cardiac procedures. The average daily census is 12-20 patients.

Interdisciplinary Support

The Cath Lab Tech will collaborate with a range of support staff, including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation.

Orientation and Training

An orientation period of 36 hours is provided, with weekly sessions for new hires.

Call Requirements

Call will be required; specifically, 1 to 2 call shifts during the week and 3 to 24-hour weekend call shifts per month.

Professional Expectations

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to function in a high-paced environment and cooperate as part of a team.

Scrubs will be provided for this position.
