Cath Lab Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology and radiology, focusing on catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities

Scrub for heart caths and device implants
Maintain sterile fields during procedures
Perform accurate monitoring and EKG lead placements
Assist as a room circulator
Conduct various procedures including angioplasty, stent placements, and cardiac catheterizations
Handle advanced devices such as IABP and Impella
Monitor hemodynamics and perform right heart catheterizations
Participate in patient evaluations and optimize care delivery

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV
Experience with GE Discovery systems is preferred
Ability to scrub and circulate during procedures
Experience with a wide range of vascular and cardiac interventions
Diverse procedural skills including IV starts, phlebotomy, and patient vitals monitoring

Work Environment

Daily caseload of 5-10 patients
Experience required in diagnostic cath, PCI, and related cardiac procedures
Working in a 3-room lab setting
Engagement with adult and geriatric patient populations

Additional Information

Float within department is required
Call duties may be assigned
Pre-approved time off is limited
Orientation hours will be provided if required
