Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 4x10 day shift assignment in an acute care cardiac cath lab setting.

Details

  • Work in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab unit
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Weekends included as part of call requirements
  • Call schedule consists of 5 weekday calls and 1 weekend call every 6 weeks
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
  • 12-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
  • Active professional licensure required, if applicable
  • Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
  • Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
  • No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be accommodated

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work two and may request one holiday off for approval
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a travel employee
  • Candidates undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager review; screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis
  • Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; late compliance results in a 2-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
