Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

This position requires rotating 4x10 hour day shifts, with the specific hours ranging from 07:00 to 17:30 and 09:30 to 20:00. Shifts will vary to ensure coverage until all procedures are completed. All staff members will rotate shifts, maintaining consistency week-to-week.

Daily Responsibilities

• Operate in 4 to 5 Cath labs daily, collaborating with 2-3 cardiovascular technologists per lab.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 procedures each day.
• Provide high-quality patient care during cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and safety regulations.

On-Call Requirements

On-call duty is required, with expectations of one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks, along with one call shift and evening shift each week. These requirements may vary based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• New graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
• Must possess a valid state license (SCRQSA).
• Radiation badge is mandatory and should be provided by the agency.
• Proficiency in scrub and monitor procedures for coronary diagnostic/intervention is essential.

Miscellaneous Information

• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and will be approved based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours allow for one shift to be canceled every two weeks.
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned emergency response duties.
