General Information

The department includes:

Three cardiac catheterization labs
A holding area for in-patients
A radial lounge for out-patients

Staffing includes:

A total of 7 technologist positions and 13 registered nurse positions, including the manager
In the radial lounge, there are 5 registered nurse positions and 1 licensed nursing assistant position

Operation Hours:

Radial Lounge: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Cath Lab: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 24-hour call coverage

Equipment used in the unit includes:

OCT
IVUS
Shockwave
Impella
IABP
Pacemakers
Rota
CSI
Opsens
Cath Works
Penumbra

The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system utilized is Sunrise / Allscripts, Mac Lab.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following skills:

Critical care experience
Experience with Impella and IABP
Experience in titrating drips independently
Current ACLS certification

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in the department include:

Left heart catheterizations
Right heart catheterizations
Drug studies
TAVR
TMVR
ASD/PFO closures
Stents / angioplasty
Atherectomy (Rota, CSI, Shockwave)
Mechanical thrombectomy (INARI and EKOS)
IABP and Impella insertions
Mitral Clip procedures
Temporary wire placements
Pressure wire placements
VSD closures
CarioMems insertions

Dress Code

Scrubs in Ceil Blue will be provided by the organization.

Scheduling and Call

Self-scheduling is utilized for call shifts, typically requiring one day a week and one weekend per month. Call hours begin at 4:30 PM and end at 7:30 AM the following morning, with weekend call running from 4:30 PM Friday to 7:30 AM Monday.
