Unit Information

Location: Denton, TX

Floor: 1st

General Information:

• Number of Beds: Procedure area includes 2 cath labs, 1 EP lab, and 1 IR Neuro lab.
• Number of Staff: 7 for cath/EP lab and 6 for IR Neuro lab.
• Type of Staff:
  • Day Shift: 4 Techs and 3 RNs in Cath/EP, 3 Techs and 3 RNs in IR Neuro.
  • Night Shift: N/A
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Includes Temporary Pacemaker, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Penumbra, Shockwave, IVUS, IFR and GE mac lab monitoring/Innova imaging.
• EMR: Mac Lab/Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills:

• Cath Lab Technologists with experience in scrubbing and the ability to pan.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, or Interventional Neuro.

Procedures Performed

• Diagnostic and Interventional Heart Catheterizations
• Interventional Radiology procedures

Personality Fit

• Assertive and proactive individual is preferred.

Required Certifications

• Cath Lab Technologists: RCIS, ACLS, R.T., ARRT, R.T. (R) ARRT.
• Nurses: RN, ACLS.

Floating Areas

May include Emergency Department, Discharge Lounge, and other areas as needed based on skill set.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color/Attire: Seal blue.

Weekends and On-Call

Rotating call for after hours and weekends, approximately 50% of the month.
