Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech- Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
- Conduct interventional procedures such as PTCA and PCI
- Set up and maintain sterile fields and equipment
- Participate in scrub procedures and operate catheterization equipment
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Assist with cardiac stent placement and rotablator atherectomy
- Interpret dysrhythmias and manage isolation precautions/PPE
Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech- ARRT or RCIS certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience
- Experience with left and right heart catheterization
- Familiarity with Allscripts charting system preferred
