Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certification for a short term acute care hospital.

Details

  • Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology department within a short term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
  • Performs diagnostic procedures including PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
  • Performs structural heart procedures including TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, and Watchman
  • Performs electrophysiology procedures including EPS, Afib/flutter ablations, and BIV/pacemaker implants
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • On-call requirement of 1 call day per week plus one weekend on-call every 5-6 weeks
  • EPIC EMR used
  • May be required to float between sister facilities within the system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab/EP experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (not both)
  • WA state RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
  • Rhythm interpretation skills preferred
  • Experience with EKG lead placement, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field required
  • Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include EPS, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping and ablation, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies
  • Additional responsibilities include cardiac stent placement, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, PCI/PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker insertion, TAVR, and Watchman procedures
  • Coil embolization and thrombolysis/thrombectomy skills preferred
  • Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a minimum of 3 months, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
