Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year acute care cath lab experience for a STEMI and stroke receiving center.

Details

  • Acute care hospital serving as a STEMI and stroke receiving center with 4 labs
  • Support cardiac, EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro, and interventional radiology procedures
  • Procedures include TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, diagnostic and interventional neuro, and IR
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • On-call required weekdays 1730-0700 and weekends/holidays 0700-0700, with 10-14 call shifts within a 42 day schedule
  • Must be willing to float between specialties within the lab
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in Cath Lab required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT certification required (RCIS accepted)
  • Fluoroscopy Permit required
  • State license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Stroke/IR experience preferred; EP/structural heart experience not required
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
  • Assist with vascular studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
  • Support electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
  • Support cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, and TAVR
  • Support neurological procedures including carotid angiography, embolization, and stent placement
  • Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius
  • Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
  • Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
