Candidates must have experience in accurate monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring. Skills in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures are essential. Candidates should be familiar with equipment setup, maintaining inventory, and sterile technique. Experience with pacemaker insertion, cardiac stent placement, and performing EKG lead placement is required. Knowledge of specialized procedures such as IABP placement/removal and use of vascular closure systems is preferred. Candidates should be capable of recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias and interpreting dysrhythmias.
