Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two or more years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience License: RCIS or RAD required Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: - Must live more than 50 miles away - Ability to scrub and pan procedures for peripheral and diagnostic studies - Experience in other specialties is a plus - Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities - Ability to maintain confidentiality - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - Effective interpersonal skills - Degree in a related field (BA, BS, BSN, AA) or years of equivalent experience Description: The Cath Lab technician works in a multidisciplinary lab. They support patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures. The technician performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment. They apply prescribed procedures for the operation of radiology imaging equipment. Call averages once a week, Monday through Thursday, and once a month on the weekend. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
