Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional cath lab experience and at least one prior travel assignment completed.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirement of 1-2 weeknight call shifts (Mon-Fri) and 3-24 hour weekend call shift per month
• Weekly orientation schedule
• Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCI RCIS or ARRT-R certification required
• MD state license required if candidate holds ARRT certification (license required if applicable)
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Skills required include interventional cath, cardiac stent placement, scrubbing, right and left heart catheterization, rotablator, thrombectomy, stents, PCI, PTCA, and balloon angioplasty
• Preferred experience with Cerner EMR
• Preferred skills include acute monitoring, room circulator duties, ACIST, Watchman procedures, Impella insertion, and TAVI/TAVR

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including stent placement and angioplasty
• Assist with advanced structural heart procedures such as Watchman and TAVI/TAVR when applicable
• Function as scrub tech, room circulator, or monitor as needed during procedures
• Local candidates accepted within 60 miles at a lower rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
