Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year in specialty required License: Not specified Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS preferred, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS (either cert accepted) Must-Have: - Experience in Cath/EP lab performing RHC, STEMI/PCIs, Pacers, loops, balloon pumps, impella, pericardiocentesis, temporary pacers. - Proficiency in xper/epic charting. - Call/Holidays required. - Occasional support of Vascular cases and team support to interventional radiology with patient preparation. Description: This position is for a Cath Lab Tech. The shift consists of four 10-hour workdays. Some weeks may require five 8-hour shifts instead. The daily caseload is 4-6 cases per tech. The lab operates one room. Floating between like units is not required, but is subject to change based on facility needs. On-call duty is required from 5 PM to 7 AM Monday to Friday and 7 AM to 7 AM Saturday and Sunday. The candidate will work with various procedures including cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology lab procedures, and percutaneous coronary interventions. Additional responsibilities include monitoring hemodynamics and operating specific cath lab equipment. The candidate must be capable of maintaining a sterile field and performing various cardiac procedures. Special skills required include the ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This position requires teamwork and coordination with multiple healthcare disciplines.
