Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech for a Level I Trauma teaching facility, requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience.

Details

• Pediatric cath lab setting within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• 2 procedure rooms
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 8-10 shifts per month including weekend coverage
• Cases include pediatric/adult transplant right/left heart biopsy, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement, with possible IR cases
• EPIC EMR preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA only)
• CCI certification with RCIS or RCES preferred, or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) accepted as alternative
• License required if applicable
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult and pediatric/neonatal), and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) required
• Level I Trauma pediatric cath lab experience and EP experience preferred
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the assigned agency
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm staff, including PRN employees, must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though locals may be considered at a reduced rate on a case-by-case basis
• All staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager's discretion but is not guaranteed
