Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a day-shift assignment requiring ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification.

Details

  • Cardiac catheterization lab setting with diagnostic and interventional cath lab and EP lab capabilities
  • 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • On-call required, approximately 6-8 shifts per 6-week schedule including 1 weekend on-call per schedule
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Float to IR and EP required as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required within the last 7 years
  • IR and EP experience preferred
  • ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • MD license or compact license required; license required if applicable
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Prior travel assignment experience required with positive references on file
  • Proficiency in cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, PA line insertion, and cardiac stent placement
  • IR skills such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and vascular studies preferred
  • EP skills such as cardiac ablation, mapping, and pacemaker/AICD insertion preferred
  • Flu vaccination required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing in
  • Exposure to a wide range of procedures across cardiac, vascular, EP, neurological, and genitourinary specialties possible
  • PACS system experience preferred
  • Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered if strong references are on file
  • Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
