Join a leading healthcare provider as a Cath Lab Tech in the Cardiac Cath Lab, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, and first-timers are not accepted. You will work with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and either RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:

  • Experience with patient diagnoses including diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants (no EP studies or ablations).
  • EKG settings and experience required, including obtaining vitals and rhythm interpretation (sinus node rhythms required).
  • Experience with pacemakers preferred.
  • Required experience with GE Discovery, IABP, and Impella.

Ratio / Census: 3 Rooms with 5 Beds; average daily census of 8-10.

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR, Merge (Preferred).

Scrub Color: Provided by the facility.

Additional Details:

  • RTO: MAX 7 days.
  • Weekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified.
  • Floating: Yes within department and facility, with the possibility to float to a sister campus.
  • Call Requirements: 12-15 days/month, including 2 weekends (Saturday/Sunday); late stay as needed.
  • Holidays: Expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period; if two major holidays fall in the assignment period, expected to work both; if three major holidays, expected to work two.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant, there may be a pushback of 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Clinical Screen: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine fit. If clinical pass and within guidelines, candidates will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on a case-by-case basis.

Locals Accepted: Same rate.
