Description:
This is a Cath lab opening.
The Radiologic Technologist must have Cath lab experience.
They will be expected to scrub Cath, EP, and Peripheral procedures from day one.
The unit consists of 4 procedure rooms.
There are currently 8 full-time staff, with an optimal staffing level of 12 full-time.
The staff includes day shift RNs and Techs, with a minimum of 3 staff per room.
Night shift staff operates with an on-call team of 4.
Patient ratios are 1 patient to each team of 3-4.
The equipment used includes GE X-ray equipment, Impella, IABP, Atherectomy, IVUS/OCT, and FFR/RFR.
The EMR system used for case charting is Maclab, with Meditech for facility work.
Candidates without the required scrubbing skills will not be considered for the role.
Preferred candidates should have experience in scrubbing IR and EP, as well as Maclab monitoring experience.
Typical procedures performed include all cardiac catheterizations, IR (Permcath, fistula), EP (device, ablation, watchman), and peripheral angiograms.
There is no neuro IR performed in this unit.
The best personality fit for this role is one who can go with the flow and is willing to be a team player.
Call is required, with alternating weekends.
Candidates should submit any no-call requests ahead of the contract.
Call frequency is approximately 14-15 days per month.
