Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 3 years of Cath Lab experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab of a hospital environment
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required every 3rd weekend
• On-call required 1-2 shifts per week
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• Skilled in ACT monitoring, cardioversion, circulating procedures, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with vascular closure systems, sheath removal, and topical hemostasis techniques
• Knowledge of procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced interventional cardiac catheterization lab
• Responsibilities may include circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, and managing vascular access sites
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
• Completion of approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start
