Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring NC or compact RN license and 2 years of critical care/Cath Lab experience.

Details

• Community-based teaching hospital in High Point, NC with Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations
• Cardiac Catheterization department averaging 5-15 cases per day
• Handles high acuity cases including Impella, IVUS, OCT, IABP, and RFR procedures
• 10-hour day shifts, 7a-5:30p, 40 hours per week
• Rotating on-call shifts covering weeknights (1730-0700), weekends (7a-7a), and holidays (7a-7a)
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend with rotating holiday on-call
• No floating required
• 3-person call team consisting of RN/RT/RCIS in any combination
• Uses EPIC EMR and Hemosystem Hemodynamic Monitoring equipment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/Cath Lab experience required
• Skills in dysrhythmias, moderate sedation, and perivascular cases required
• Experience with high acuity STEMI cases preferred
• Knowledge of vascular cases required
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in Cath Lab specialty, with recent experience within the last year
• At least 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Cath Lab environment
• Orientation includes 1 week of New Employee Orientation plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
• Manager will conduct a final clinical interview
