Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital requiring active AK RN licensure and 2+ years of cath lab experience.

Details

  • Work in the Cath Lab unit of a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
  • Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (7:00-17:00)
  • On-call required one day per week plus 4th/5th weekend rotation (Friday 1800 to Monday 0730)
  • Approximately one Saturday per month included as part of scheduled weekly shifts
  • May float within scope to EP or Interventional Radiology as needed
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Active AK RN license required and must be in hand for auto offer consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, PCI, IABP placement, cardiac stent placement, and procedural sedation monitoring
  • 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, IABP placement, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias as needed
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility, and local candidates are not accepted
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
  • Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Travel assignments at the same facility are limited to a maximum of 1 calendar year, followed by a required 6-month break
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required; titers or declinations not accepted
