Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring CA RN licensure and Trauma Level II experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology settings
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call shifts required on weekends and during the week
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between sister facilities may be required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, and IABP placement/removal
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
• Skilled in vascular access and closure techniques, including PICC lines and vascular closure systems
• Experience monitoring procedural sedation and administering related medications
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Information

• Perform circulate and scrub duties for a wide range of cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures
• Provide direct patient care including EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Adhere to infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation/laser safety protocols
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; post-offer requests may not be granted
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former employees may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
