Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and active PA or Compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting, including diagnostic and interventional cath lab and hybrid OR
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
  • On-call shifts run 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
  • Call requirements include one evening per week and every 4th weekend (Friday 4:00 PM-Monday 7:00 AM), typically for STEMIs or symptomatic NSTEMIs
  • Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
  • Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active PA or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
  • First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
  • Experience circulating and monitoring Cath Lab procedures required
  • Experience with Balloon Pump, Impella, Shockwave, and Rotablator required

Additional Information

  • Perform circulating and monitoring duties for a variety of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
  • Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
  • Two supervisor references preferred
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted under local rate rules
  • Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
  • Travel pairs accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
