Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Santa Monica, California.

The Registered Nurse provides safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures or treatments.
- Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders, hospital policies, and established clinical protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, neurological status, and other relevant clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments safely.
- Identify changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations.
- Assist physicians and the healthcare team with procedures as required.
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, medications, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
- Participate in the department's on-call rotation and respond within the required 30-minute timeframe when called.
- L&D/OR/Cath Lab: provided
- Assist with emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions within scope of practice.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure continuity of care throughout the patient's hospital stay.
Acute-care RN contract with no floating, but a significant on-call rotation requiring a 30-minute response time. 2+ years preferred, first-time travelers not accepted; ACLS, BCLS & NIH required. IR experience is a plus. L&D/OR/Cath Lab: provided
