Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a day-shift hospital assignment requiring Trauma Level II experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology unit, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology settings
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call shifts required on weekends and during the week
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact accepted) required in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, and pacemaker/defibrillator management
• Skilled in electrophysiology procedures including cardioversion, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with vascular closure systems, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural sedation
• Knowledge of emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and thrombolytics
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must provide full SSN and DOB for compliance purposes

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
• Perform circulating and scrub duties for a wide range of cardiac and vascular interventions
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the same health system
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month break, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
• All required certifications must be current and included at time of submission
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
