Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse with experience in Cath Lab to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality patient care during cardiac procedures.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Cath Lab and EP Lab
• Beds Capacity: 2 Cath Lab rooms, 10 pre & post beds, 6 holding beds
• Staffing: 20 staff members
• Patient Ratios:
  • In the lab: 1:1
  • In holding: 2:1
  • In pre/post: 4:1
• Types of Equipment: GE imaging equipment, Volcano, Rotoblator, Angiojet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Inari
• EMR: Cerner and Merge hemodynamic system

Key Responsibilities

As a Travel RN in the Cath Lab, you will:

• Provide care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Manage patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Handle equipment and technology used in cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Previous Cath Lab experience.
  • Able to take call as required.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in Structural Heart procedures.
  • Experience in Electrophysiology (EP).

Typical Procedures

Procedures performed in the Cath Lab include:

• Heart Catheterizations and interventions
• Peripheral Catheterizations and interventions
• TAVR, Mitra Clip, Watchman
• Pacemaker and ICD implants
• EP studies and ablations
• PFO & ASD closures
• Carotid stents
